This policy explains what information Empowner collects, why, and what we do with it. Empowner is a business operated by Mechel Berger as a sole proprietor in New York ("Empowner", "we", "us"). Questions or requests: hello@empowner.com.
1. Information we collect
- When you contact us or send a request on empowner.com: your name, business name, phone number, email address, kind of business, city, the services you are interested in and your message.
- When you chat with us on the website: the questions you type and our answers.
- When you become a customer: the details we need to set up and run your systems, your plan and billing records, support requests, and notes of our calls and messages with you.
- Technical information: like most websites, our hosting keeps short-lived technical logs (for example IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and stop abuse. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
2. How we use it
- To answer your request, call or email you back, and send you a confirmation.
- To set up, run, monitor and support your systems, and to send bills and reminders.
- To keep our website and services secure.
We do not sell or rent your information, and we do not use it for advertising.
3. Your customers' information
When we set up systems for your business, they run in your own accounts, and your customers' information stays there. We access it only as needed to set up, fix and support your systems, and only while you are a customer. You decide what your systems collect and you are responsible for telling your customers about it. The website we build for you includes its own privacy page.
4. Who we share it with
We share information only with service providers that help us run our business (for example email, hosting, phone and payment providers), and only as needed for that work. They may only use it to provide their service to us. We may also share information if the law requires it.
5. AI
Some answers (for example on our website chat) are written by an AI system. What you type is used only to answer you and is not used to advertise to you.
6. Cookies
We use only the cookies needed to keep you signed in to the customer portal and the team app, and to remember settings such as light or dark mode. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
7. How long we keep it
We keep request and customer records while we work together and for up to 3 years afterwards for our business and tax records, unless the law requires longer. You can ask us to delete your information sooner (section 8).
8. Your choices
You can ask us to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, or to stop contacting you. Email hello@empowner.com and we will answer within 30 days.
9. Security
We use secure connections, signed sign-in cookies, limited access and regular backups. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect your information.
10. Children
Our services are for businesses. We do not knowingly collect information from children under 13.
11. Changes
We may update this policy. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is important, we will tell our customers by email.
